North Sandblasting owner and operator, Art North, always knew he wanted to start his own business.  When North graduated from High School in 1978, he landed his first job at Goldstein and Gurwitz in Oxford, Mass.  It was there that he first taught himself how to sandblast.

Years later, North found himself working for Penske Truck Leasing.  He worked his way up the ladder and soon enough North landed the position of "Location Service Manager" where he had his own branch at Penske with ten employees. However, he still yearned to be his own boss.

After years of feeling unfulfilled in his position, in March of 1991 North resigned from his job at Penske, and hasn't looked back since.  With support of his wife, Laurie, North Sandblasting was born.

Thirty years later, North has created a successful business and is now known as Massachusetts' premier sandblaster.
